I Worked at a less than average halved assed knock off clothing store.
initially I enjoyed getting a little bit of money, but it was about after the third check, 6 weeks in, when everything started to go down hill.
I started to feel as if though I had ignored the essentials of freedom. I felt like a modern slave.
The money I was making was not even remotely enough to live on my own and I was worked 39 hours a week, that's just enough to not have to give your employee any sort of full time benefits.
The sad thing is that shit is legal and very common.
I began to realize all of the older people there either are stuck and know it or they're stuck and don't care to know. This place was no stress free work place either! there were mostly angry customers, Stubborn Closed minded managers, employees dislodged from the ways of normal socialism and in an area where criminal activity was only getting worse.
there is endless amounts more I could cover on this experience but I'll get it started in a few sentences and let the music explain the rest.
Freedom is not free.
Selling your lifespan doing something you can't stand is as bad as it gets
Money is not everything
Money is worth nothing but the spell we are under
Rich people do hate the poor.
It was ignorance as well as misdirection that led me to have this experience but I “think” it was needed to follow my dreams more powerfully.
Enjoy, and listen for the raw emotion in my music there is plenty.
